I can't take a booth or a sponsorship at the NHC Expo, but I still want to participate.  Is this possible?
We realize that sometimes, taking a booth at the NHC Expo isn't possible. Maybe you sell only via the internet. Maybe the scheduling doesn't work for you. Maybe cash flow is tight and the travel and exhibiting expenses are too much right now. Maybe you are a small company just starting and want exposure without expense. To help you, we've developed 2 programs to help your product reach the Chicago market.

Sample Distribution Center, special bins containing your sample products and an ad banner above the product. Samples will be distributed and restocked throughout the NHC Expo. This great cost effective program is available for only $750 not including cost of product, banner design and shipping. Download Sample Distribution Center Contract here

Natural Resource Center, prominently featuring product brochures/restaurant menus/lists of services.  A big wall will feature literature racks that the NHC staff will cheerfully fill with your 8.5 x 11" one page brochures.  NHC families can peruse the racks and pick brochures that interest them.  This is great exposure at little investment - cost is $250 (plus shipping.)  See the Natural Resource Center Contract in the exhibitor's section of our web site, or download Natural Resource Center contract here

Before the Show
• What is the exhibitor manual and why is it important?
The exhibitor manual (otherwise known as the exhibitor kit) is the guide to your participation, and contains all of the deadlines, forms, tips, and pertinent information that will help you to maximize your NHC Expo investment. Once you receive the manual, be sure to:
- read the entire manual
- tag important information for easy reference
- complete all pertinent forms in their entirety
- return the forms to the appropriate vendors by deadline to save money (advance orders are at discounted pricing.) Here's a tip - keep copies of your orders and bring them with to the Expo in case of any questions.

NHC Expo exhibitor manuals will be available on-line in late August, and reading the exhibitor kit is very important so that you save money, time, and confusion. Call NHC Expo staff with questions or concerns.

• How do I get listed on the NHC web site and in the on-site show guide?
Included in your booth price is a basic listing, including your company name and web address, on both the NHC Expo web site and the on-site program guide. Sponsors will automatically receive enhanced listing in both. Information about enhancing your company’s listing will be available in the exhibitor kit, being sent in late August.

• How do I order items for my booth, like electricity, carpeting, tables, etc.?
NHC Management has negotiated special package rates for basic items. Information about these special rates will be available in the exhibitor kit, being sent in late August.

• When should I begin to make travel arrangements?
Book all travel arrangements as soon as possible to save money and last minute stress. A list of nearby Chicago area hotels is available at http://www.choosechicago.com/accommodations.html  PLEASE NOTE - NHC Expo is the same week-end as the Chicago Marathon - so the supply of hotel rooms may be tight.  Book early to assure you have a space!

• How should I dress for the show?
You will find people dressed in many different ways. Dress appropriately and encourage your staff to do the same. Some companies opt to dress in a uniform manner and some will dress in an individual manner. Dress is based upon personal preference. VERY IMPORTANT - wear comfortable shoes that are good for standing and walking. It is hard to be happy when your feet hurt!

• Where do I ship my booth equipment?
Shipment addresses will vary depending on when you ship your booth equipment. Consult the exhibitor manual, available in late August, for specific addresses and deadlines, or call Monica Eggers at NHC Expo Management - (708)361-6000, ex. 202; or e-mail her – Monica@mynhc.info

• How do I get complimentary passes to send out to my customers, friends, family, etc. before the Expo?
These customized passes can be ordered from NHC Expo, and following the Expo, you will be invoiced only for the passes your customers, friends, and family uses. See the Exhibitor Manual, available in late August, or call Monica Eggers at NHC Expo Management - (708)361-6000, ex. 202; or e- mail her – Monica@mynhc.info

NHC Expo attendees are provided with an official program, in which each exhibitor is listed with booth number and web address. The program also includes a map of the Expo floor map so that attendees can direct themselves to particular booths. The staff at NHC Expo also encourages you to do pre-show marketing – postcards, ads, etc. - to alert your customers where to find you.

• What kinds of sales can I expect at NHC Expo?
While sales and orders for future delivery will be made at NHC Expo, many exhibitors find that the contacts they make, and promptly follow-up on, result in sales and orders long after the show is over. NHC Expo exhibitors may find that attendees call, or visit their websites, months after the show and say, “I saw you at NHC Expo.” Additionally, many exhibitors use NHC Expo as a chance to network with other like minded exhibitors.

• How can I get help at the Expo if I have a question, if issues arise, etc.?
You can visit the exhibitor services booth located on the exhibit floor, or ask a member of the NHC Expo team. We will be around to assist you with questions, issues, etc.

• What is the best way to remember potential customers I’ve spoken with at our booth?
Keep careful, organized, accurate records of everything. Take notes while talking with visitors: include when you spoke to someone, their name, phone number, and/or e-mail address, or a particular interest they had. You will be making contact with a lot of different people, so anything that helps you remember them will come in handy later.
