Lester Blair

Lester Blair, Chief Investment Officer Blair Capital Educators. He teaches Investment Theory in the graduate department at Lake Forest College and a graduate of the University of Chicago.

Mr. Blair has as co-managed assets of over $300 million. As the managing partner of the Investment Center, Mr. Blair has managed equity and bond portfolios for numerous clients. He has also served as a financial analyst for Allstate Insurance Company and for Alexander & Alexander at their Shand Morahan & Company unit. His investment career began at Security Savings & Loan where he spent several years as an assistant bond portfolio manager. A frequent speaker on investment management principles, he has presented lectures and seminars to a variety of Fortune 500 firms and organizations. Mr. Blair has also served with numerous philanthropic organizations.

Mr. Blair is a former member of the Young Leaders Group, which reviews and recommends funding opportunities for The Chicago Community Trust, one of Chicago's largest charities. He is a former board member and treasurer of The Center for Public Ministries, the 10-year-old Evanston-based homeless center. He currently serves on the board of Evanston's CEDA Neighbors At Work, The Illinois Facilities Fund, the finance committee of the Chicago Renewal Society, and serves as the chairman of Chicago Public Radio, WBEZ' s advisory council. Mr. Blair is also a founding partner of Kenilworth Asset Management LLC (KAM) and a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Mr. Blair has over 16 years of research and portfolio management experience with extensive expertise in mid-cap equities and taxable fixed income. He was a registered investment advisor with emphasis on mid-cap equity selection. Mr. Blair was also a financial analyst for Allstate Insurance, Shand Morahan & Co, and an assistant bond manager for Security Savings & Loan. Lester has a B.S. in finance from Bradley University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Lester has a series 7, 24, and 65 security license. Mr. Blair resides in Evanston, Illinois.
