John Redden, R.H.

John Redden, R.H., is a professional Herbalist with over 25 years of experience in growing and wildcrafting herbs and manufacturing herbal remedies. He is the founder and owner of Viriditas Herbal Products, whose clients include professional herbalists, naturopaths and medical doctors. As a long-time, professional member of the Ontario Herbalists Association, John is also the editor of the Canadian Journal of Herbalism. He is well known throughout Ontario for his hands-on herbal lectures and workshops at Ontario universities, colleges and the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. John’s interest in healing took root while working in hospital emergency rooms during pre-med studies in the U.S. On his path through the field of herbs, John has lived and worked at the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland, studied with First Nations’ elders and apprenticed with some of the leaders of the modern herbal Renaissance.

John’s other interests include organic gardening, vegetarian cooking, ethnobotany, Gregorian chant, Celtic studies, medieval illuminated manuscripts, meditation and world spiritual traditions, and walks with his Border Collie.
